Exposition by People's Artist of Russia Nikas Safronov at SPIEF 2026
At the international economic forum in Saint Petersburg, People's Artist of Russia Nikas Safronov presented a large-scale exposition. Its central object is the monumental diptych “Pragmatic Dialogue - A Path to a Stable Future,” depicting Peter the Great and Yuri Gagarin. The work symbolizes a dialogue between two epochal figures.
At the stand of the cultural capital, Safronov's fresco “Life of Saint Petersburg, Blessed from Above” became one of the forum's most discussed art objects. In this work, Saint Petersburg appears as a city beyond time, blessed by a higher power.
The exposition also features portraits of spaceflight legends (Korolev, Glushko, Gagarin, and Tereshkova), paintings that have traveled to space, artistic dedications to the Year of Unity of the Peoples of Russia, and works in the artist's Dream Vision style.
The artist himself announced the beginning of a “year of space” in his work, revealing plans for new exhibitions and projects connected with the space industry.
